If you agree that a woman’s place is in the brew house, check out Dos Californias Brewsters. These female brewers from both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border will gather in Tijuana on Feb. 2 to make their second beer.
The first beer debuted at the 2018 Ensenada Beer Festival, and sales funded scholarships for four women studying brewing at Tijuana’s Instituto de Tecnológico de Tijuana (ITT).
“This endeavor has been incredibly meaningful,” said Melody Crisp, one of the U.S. members, “and with the current turmoil at the border, it’s been awesome to have a positive story of women helping women with no walls to stop us.”
