Wonderfront: Here is the festival’s daily performance schedule and latest additions
Miguel or Ben Harper? Migos or MGMT? The proximity of Wonderfront’s main stages may make it easier to catch parts of their concurrent performances
How can you be in several places at the same time?
That may be the quandary for some attendees at this weekend’s debut edition of the Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival, which runs Friday through Sunday at multiple stages adjacent to San Diego Bay.
For example, on Friday night, Miguel and Ben Harper both perform from 8:45 to 10 p.m. On Saturday, Migos and MGMT perform at those same exact times.
The good news is that the stage Harper and MGMT are playing on at Embarcadero Marina Park South is in close proximity to the stage at Seaport Village Miguel and Migos are performing on at Seaport Village.
To make your brief trek even easier, at least on paper, Wonderfront’s producers have erected a sky walk between the two sites. They also promise to clear a ground-level route, on request, for any attendees in wheelchairs.
Moreover, two of the festival’s biggest stages are both located at Embarcadero Marina Park North, while the other two largest stages are at Seaport Village. The distance between the two farthest of those four stages is “no more than 1,600 feet,” Wonderfront’s producers promise. And there will be a variety of transportation options, on land and water, between the festival’s southern-most and northern-most stages at Hilton Bayfront Park and the Broadway Pier.
To help you plan, here is the full schedule for the festival’s seven main stages. (The lineups for Wonderfront’s smaller activation stages, where a good number of performances are free and open to the public, are available online at wonderfront.com.)
And, in case you missed it, here is our interview with Wonderfront mastermind Ernie Hahn II.
