Over The Line tournament ends with championship rounds this weekend
It’s the final weekend of play for the 66th annual World Championship Over The Line Tournament. Thousands of spectators will gather at Fiesta Island to watch teams from around the world smack the ball — over the line — about 55 feet in front of the batter at this adults-only competition. The tournament will follow a double-elimination format for all participating teams in all 10 divisions. This being championship weekend, all games will be four innings. Need a break from the action? Stop by the OTL Beerfest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. where you’ll find some of San Diego’s top local breweries, including Ballast Point, Mike Hess Brewing and Coronado Brewing, to name a few. The four-hour unlimited beer tasting is $20.
66th annual World Championship Over-The-Line Tournament: 7:30 a.m. to sunset. Saturday and Sunday. Fiesta Island, Mission Bay Park, San Diego. Free to spectators. ombac.org/over-the-line
