The perfect 2-hour getaway: Cocktails at sunset on a yacht, on the bay

Share

If there’s a finer way to spend two hours on a weekend night than catching a San Diego Bay sunset while cruising on a yacht, sipping cocktails and eating delicious hors d’oeuvres, we can’t think of one.

An 82-foot yacht owned by Flagship Cruises & Events sets sail every Friday and Saturday night during the summer and cruises the bay, from the downtown San Diego waterfront, north to Harbor Island and south past the Coronado Bay Bridge.

A glass or welcome bubbly on the Spirits at Sunset Cocktail Cruise is free and drinks, like the $9 sea-blue Maritime Martini, are available for purchase.

All of the bites are included in the price; among the standouts are grilled shrimp lollipops with bacon jam, mini beef empanadas with cilantro lime sour cream and the adorable little chicken and waffles, with maple chili brown butter.

Don’t let the tourists have all the fun.
