Ye Scallywag! festival set to rock on Oct. 21

The Ye Scallywag! festival, presented by 91x, returns on Saturday, Oct. 21 at San Diego’s Waterfront Park and with it comes a punk rock lineup topped by Pennywise and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, plus a top-notch beer festival.

The 21+ event provides unlimited beer tastings from 1-4 p.m. alongside local vendors and food trucks offering items for purchase.

Breweries at the festival will include Alesmith Brewing Company, Alpine Beer Company. Ballast Point, Belching Beaver Brewery, Coronado Brewing Co., Green Flash, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Modern Times Beer, Sierra Nevada, Stone Brewing and more San Diego favorites.

Sycuan Casino will be hosting food pairing sessions with Chef Paul on hand to demonstrate three courses being paired with beer selections. Sessions will take place between music sets at 1:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m., and 4 p.m. The pairings will be limited to 50 participants per session.

Ticket prices range from $45-$99 and include a complimentary festival tasting glass. Details about specific packages can be found here.

The festival, which also features music from The Vandals, Lagwagon, Strung Out, The Adolescents and Western Settings, rocks from 1-10 p.m.
