11.3-10: Tijuana Innovadora, World Trade Center, Tijuana,

Tijuana Innovadora (“Innovative Tijuana”) is an eight-day event that will showcase the city’s best with a foodie fest, fashion show, environmental fair and keynote speakers addressing topics from medicine to startups. This year’s theme centers on the creative arts, culinary arts, cinema and architectural design. High-profile speakers - including Mexican actor and director Alfonso Arau, and Enrique Graue, chancellor of the National Autonomous University of Mexico - are expected to draw big crowds to the fourth edition of this biennial event.

All hail the great tamale! This celebration of Latin food and culture will also include a Chihuahua costume contest and mariachi performances.

11.6: Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Balboa Park ,

Sport pink while running or walking a 5K or one-mile course to raise funds for breast cancer treatment, services and support.

This 30th annual parade along the downtown waterfront honors veterans and active-duty military service members.

11.12: Ride the Point Memorial Charity Bike Race, Starting at Oggi’s Restaurant, Liberty Station,

Ride along hidden and un-ridden routes through Point Loma, open once a year for this charity bike race supporting UC San Diego Health’s Moores Cancer Center.

11.13: Silver Strand Half Marathon, Coronado to Imperial Beach ,

Run a picturesque 5K, 10-mile or half-marathon course from Coronado to Imperial Beach with the Pacific Ocean on one side and San Diego Bay on the other.

11.14-20: San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival,

Raise a glass at the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, which returns for its 13th year featuring celebrity chefs, culinary personalities and more than 150 wineries, breweries and spirit purveyors. Notable events include the Dinner with the Culinary Icons, headlined by Chef Rick Bayless (star of PBSMexico: One Plate at a Time), and the Lexus Grand Tasting at Embarcadero Marina Park North. Foodies and oenophiles can choose from a vast array of cooking classes, tasting panels, celebrity chef dinners and tastings.

Before the Thanksgiving feast, get moving with more than 10,000 participants running this 5K race to help Father Joe’s Villages provide meals for homeless San Diegans.

Burn calories (before gaining them back at dinner) along this Thanksgiving Day 5K, 10K or 15K course through South Bay.

11.24-1.2: Skating by the Sea at Hotel Del, Hotel del Coronado, Coronado,

The iconic Hotel del Coronado’s beachfront ice skating rink welcomes visitors to the Windsor Lawn for double-axel action throughout the holiday season.
