9.2: Afrojack  @ Omnia,

Having released his latest single, “Drop That,” in July, Dutch DJ, producer and Wall Recordings label head Afrojack returns to San Diego for Labor Day weekend.


9.2: Felix Da Housecat @ Bang Bang,

This veteran Chicago House masher’s 2015 album, “Narrative of Thee Blast Illusion,” features an appearance by the legendary Lee Scratch Perry.


9.3: Chromeo @ Del Mar Thoroughbred Club,

The Canadian electro dance-funk duo closes out the summer concert series at Del Mar.


9.3: Datsik @ Bassmnt,

Canadian DJ/producer Datsik (aka Troy Beetles) launched his own label, Firepower Records, in 2012. He dropped his latest EP, the six-song “Darkstar,” in March.

9.3: MSTRKRFT @ Bang Bang,

Toronto electro duo MSTRKRFT (Jesse F. Keeler and Alex Puodziukas) released their third LP, “OPERATOR,” in July. Keeler also plays in “Death From Above 1979.”


9/9: EC Twins @ Omnia,

Manchester, England’s Marc and Allister Blackham are currently on the “Keep You in Mind” tour, named after the brothers’ recent remixes of Guordan Banks’ song of the same name.


9/16: Markus Shulz 

@ Omnia,
This German-born, Miami-based trance DJ brings his Watch The World tour (named after his 17-song album - which actually has 27 tracks, including 10 accompanying acoustic versions) to San Diego after stops in Europe and South America.

After collaborating with Tiësto on the club banger “Get Down” last year, Dutch DJ Tony Junior (aka Tony Peroni) has already released three singles in 2016.

Last year, U.K. DJ Scuba (aka Paul Rose, currently based in Berlin) released his fourth full-length album, “Claustrophobia,” on his own label, Hotflush.


9/16: Kraftwerk 

@ Balboa Theatre,

The pioneering German electronic quartet won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammy Academy in 2014.


9/17: Dirty Phonics

Charly, Pitchin and Pho - the names of the French trap maestros comprising Dirty Phonics - may sound like a children’s book title, but the trio’s latest single, “Holy S***,” won’t be heard on Kidz Bop anytime soon.

Performing at a string of massive festivals worldwide (both alone and with Skrillex as duo Jack Ü), Diplo stops in San Diego for an exclusive club date.

L.A. (by way of Ohio) DJ/producer Le Youth (aka Wes James) brings his Homewerk tour to San Diego. “Back2Life,” his recent collab with No Way Back, dropped in August.

The single “Losing U (feat. Daylight)” is the latest release from French tropical house DJ/producer Klingande (aka Cédric Steinmylier).

This hip-hop turntablist celebrated his 20th year of making music with the release of his sixth studio album, “The Mountain Will Fall,” in June.

9/30: Kill The Noise

Earlier this year, New York DJ Kill The Noise (aka Jake Stanczak) released “Alt Classic,” a full-length album of remixed tracks from his irreverent 2015 LP, “Occult Classic.”
