It’s difficult to get bored in a city with so much going on. This weekend’s top events include Nero at Bassmnt, a Silent Disco in North Park and the San Diego Crew Classic.

3.29 Excision

Jeff Abel, the Canadian DJ/producer also known as Excision, is the founder of Rottun Recordings. Through the label, Abel released a pair of singles, “Africa” and “Final Boss,” as well as his third full-length, “Virus,” last year. - Scott McDonald

This Canadian DJ, producer and singer co-wrote The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (feat. Halsey)” and opened for KISS on their Hottest Show on Earth tour in 2010. He released the single “La La Land” with DVBBS last year, as well as “Let You Get Away,” which featured Ashe. - Scott McDonald

After pivoting from their drum n’ bass origins, the London-based, Grammy-winning trio of Dan & Alana Stephens and Joe Ray released their second EDM album, “Between II Worlds,” in 2015. It ended up hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. Dance/Electronic album chart. - Scott McDonald

4.1 Gaslamp Pub Crawl

Hop from bar to bar (five to be exact) during the inaugural Gaslamp Pub Crawl from 2-6 p.m. Not only is this a great chance to sip some cocktails at some of the neighborhood’s top bars, but also 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Surfrider Foundation.

Dance the night away at this first-of-its-kind event at The Lafayette Hotel in North Park. The Mississippi Ballroom will host four DJs during two battles where the crowd will be listening through headphones (thus the name Silent Disco). This 21+ event, called “This Ain’t No Party,” runs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets can be purchased here.

4.1 Padres Fanfest

Major League Baseball returns this weekend and before the Padres take to the field for their home opener, enjoy a day at Fanfest with players signing autographs, a Kids Zone and wiffle ball games in the Park at the Park, a Padres Foundation garage sale and so much more. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free, but requires a ticket for entrance, which can be found here.
