Pierce the Veil to perform at MTV Fandom Fest

High-flying San Diego rock band Pierce The Veil will perform Thursday at Petco Park with Kent Jones and Krewella as part of the 2016 MTV Fandom Fest.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is open to all Comic-Con badge-holders. At 8 p.m. Thursday taping will begin of the MTV Fandom Awards, which will air Sunday at 8 p.m. on MTV and this year will be hosted by “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey, who co-hosted last year’s edition.

Presenters for the awards taping Thursday at Petco Park include Emma Roberts and Dave Franco from the upcoming feature film “Nerve”; “Power Rangers” reboot cast members Becky G, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin, Darce Montgomery and RJ Cyler; and “Lights Out” co-stars Teresa Palmer and Alexander Dipersia. Other presenters include cast members from “Teen Wolf;” “The Shannara Chronicles,” “iZombi,” “The 100” and “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments.”

This will marks the third consecutive year MTV is presenting Fan Fest music performances at Petco Park during Comi-Con as part of its MTV Fandom Awards.

In 2014, rap-metal band Linkin Park and hip-hop star G-Eazy performed at Petco. They were followed in 2015 by the pop-punk band All-Time Low and rapper Flo Rida.
