Green Day announces 2017 tour, including April San Diego concert
Green Day will hit the road in 2017 for a North American tour that kicks off March 1 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix and concludes April 8 at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center.
A pre-sale begins Wednesday for members of Idiot Nation, the Green Day fan club. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m.
Tickets for the San Diego show are priced from $30 to $65 each plus service charges. They can be bought, beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Valley View Casino Center box office, online at axs.com and by phone at (888) 929-7849.
The tour is in support of the Bay Area punk-pop trio’s new album, “Revolution Road.” Against Me will open all of the shows on the tour. The complete itinerary appears below.
Formed in 1986, Green Day was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame last year. The band has won five Grammy Awards, including Best Musical Show Album for “American Idiot: The Original Broadway Cast Recording.”
