If you don’t have a ticket for the Home Run Derby or the All-Star Game itself, FanFest might be your best bet for a full All-Star experience.
From July 8-12, Major League Baseball fans and players will converge at the San Diego Convention Center for a week of contests, player appearances, clinics and more that the whole family can enjoy.
While standard tickets are priced from $30-$35, deals can be found on buy one get one free Friday, two for Tuesday, and family combo packs.
Highlights for the week include:
Opening Day/Kids Day: Get your singing voices ready for the “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” singing contest, plus there will be baseball and softball clinics, kids home run derby, a national anthem singer from San Diego Musical Theatre and a Trevor Hoffman Bleacher Creature Jr. plush giveaway. Legends appearances include Trevor Hoffman, Dave Winfield, Steve Garvey and Randy Jones.
When: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Monday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday
Where: San Diego Convention Center, 111 W. Harbor Drive, downtown
Cost: $35 for adults; $30 for senior citizens, military personnel and children 12 and under; ages 2 and under are free

Military Appreciation Days: Tickets are discounted to $12 on this day for military personnel, and will include a special clinic and wheelchair baseball exhibition game and giveaways of Lil’ Teammate toy figurines and military patches to the first 2,000 visitors. Legends appearances include Rollie Fingers, Gaylord Perry, Heath Bell, Gary Sheffield and Steve Finley.
Tribute Day: MLB mascots will participate in a Home Run Derby Championship, and various activities will pay tribute to community leaders and first responders, including CPR training. Legends appearances include Tony Gwynn Jr., Tony Oliva, Ozzie Smith, Andre Dawson and Fred McGriff.
Trending Tuesday: The first 2,000 eligible fans will receive a reusable tote bag and other activities will include a T-ball exhibition game and kids home run derby. Legends appearances include Orlando Cepeda, Gaylord Perry, Rollie Fingers and Terry Kennedy.
