Celebrate the Summer Games at Museum of Man

Let the games begin! In celebration of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the San Diego Museum of Man is holding its own tournament of summer games on Thursday night, July 28.

Come dressed as your favorite Olympian or in team colors and compete for the gold in Olympic-inspired events, like pool-noodle throwing, hobbyhorse racing and blind beer tasting. The hour-long tournament starts at 6:45 p.m., so be sure to arrive early. Also on tap: San Diego Olympic athletes, Brazilian appetizers, signature cocktails, beer and wine. A closing ceremony rounds out the Summer Games.
