Concerts, beer fests & more during Bing Crosby Season

The always-cool Del Mar Racetrack is stirring up some major fun this fall. Bing Crosby Season is back and in full swing, complete with a plethora of events and concerts to see.

Reggae Fest with Iration & College Day - Nov. 19

The “Hotting Up” band from Hawaii will be taking over the track on Saturday, Nov. 19 for a Reggae Fest. The show is free to attend as long as you have purchased admission for $6 and are through the gates before the start of the last race. The Reggae Fest also serves as the annual College Day celebration, offering free race track and concert admission to students with a valid ID card. The event will offer a giant tailgating party for all college students, as well.

Thanksgiving Brunch & Thanksgiving Family Fun Run - Nov. 24

Kick off your Thanksgiving day with a brunch, a family fun run or both. The Del Mar Racetrack will offer a day of horse races, dining and drinks at the Turf Club for a very San Diego Thanksgiving. The brunch is $100 per person and includes a three-course brunch or dinner and bottomless mimosas or Bloody Marys.

Before settling into your brunching attire, why not go for a quick one-mile jog around the track? The Thanksgiving Family Fun Run will allow you to run with Del Mar jockeys around the course. Proceeds of the event will benefit the Helen Woodward Animal Center and their equestrian therapy program. Registration costs $22 for adults; $12 for children.

Craft Beer, Cider and Food Truck Festival - Nov. 26

With 110 craft beers, several different ciders and more than 30 gourmet food trucks on deck, this is one fun-in-the-sun event not to miss. For $20, you can sip up five seven-ounce tasters of beer including choices from The Bruery, Mike Hess, Angel City, Avery, Ballast Point, AleSmith, Elysian, Pizza Port and more. Admission into the area is free with a $6 race track admission. Food and full pours of beer can be purchased separately. Those interested can purchase tickets here.

Taste of the Turf Club - Every Sunday

Every single Sunday through the fall, Chef Brian Malarkey will be cooking up his creative cuisine for a decadent Turf Club experience. The $100 per person package offers attendees a turf club table on race day, a choice of appetizer, an entree and dessert, as well as bottomless mimosas or Chandon. Those interested can reserve their space for the fun foodie event here.

Daybreak at Del Mar - Every Saturday

Rise and shine at the Clubhouse Terrace Restaurant every Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. during Bing Crosby season to watch the jockeys complete their morning workouts while dining in the open restaurant. There will be a commentator, Jeff Bloom, helping answer any questions attendees may have. Breakfast prices vary and attendees can access the restaurant by parking in the main lot off of Jimmy Durante Blvd.
