An all-female triathlon is racing through San Diego
A morning full of fitness, champagne and massages awaits racers out on Mission Bay at the Gildan Esprit de She Women’s triathlon, duathlon and 5K, taking place on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 7 a.m. to noon.
The event will feature four different races: the sprint triathlon, the super sprint triathlon, the duathlon and a 5K. All of the races’ funds will benefit Girls on the Run San Diego and Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance.
The first wave of runners will be the survivor wave - those who have survived ovarian cancer or are racing in the honor of someone who has survived.
Post-race, participants can look forward to relaxing, hydrating and indulging in some first-class treatments. There will be a “Lifestyle Market” designed by Gildan Esprit de She featuring a bubbly bar and healthy eats to refuel on. There will also be a Panasonic Beauty Bar which will offer manicures, hair braiding and manicures to all attendees.
Registration is $45 for the 5K; $95 for the sprint and super sprint. Relay team options are also available.
