12 Bars of Charity brings hope for the holidays
If Friendsiving is the friend equivalent to Thanksgiving, then 12 Bars of Charity should be the friend event for the December holiday season.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, the charitable pub crawl will take to the streets of San Diego with $10 of each $30 ticket going to a participating charity of the crawler’s choosing.
The crawl lineup features more than 12 bars located around the Gaslamp and Little Italy, including such area favorites as The Tipsy Crow, Coyote Ugly and Gaslamp Tavern (however, event tickets limits visitation to 12 of the participating spots). Bar-specific drink specials will be available.
Increase the festive spirit by choosing among eight charities that will have color-coordinated long sleeve shirt associated with them. Invite your friends and family to join, or meet some new friends sporting the same color.
Check-in at the House of Blues downtown begins two hours before the event starts and ends at 4 p.m.
The 12 Bars of Charity is a national organization that helps build awareness and raise money for charities in partcipating cities through various pub crawl events.
