Patti LaBelle, still cooking up a storm, to sing Thursday at The Magnolia in El Cajon
The R&B vocal legend, who in recent years has become a star in the cooking world, kicks off her fall tour on Oct. 3 in El Cajon
Unlike Elvis Presley, Patti LaBelle may not be everywhere, but it sure seems like it.
In recent years, the versatile R&B vocal legend been featured on the TV shows “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Voice,” as well as appearing in “Empire” and “American Horror Story.”
She’s also published several cook books and hosted the Cooking Channel show “Patti LaBelle’s Place.” Then there’s her dessert line, “Patti’s Good Life,” which sold out at Walmart store bakeries coast to coast and inspired a 2015 YouTube video by James Wright, “My Review On Patti LaBelle sweet potato pie,” that deservedly went viral.
In 2017, she released two albums, “Home for the Holidays” and “Bel Hommage,” the first jazz standards album of her 57-year career.
On July 2, a street called Patti LaBelle Way was officially unveiled in her native Philadelphia.
Now 75, the tireless singing star kicks off her fall tour with a Thursday concert in El Cajon. Voulez vous?
