Top concerts this week in San Diego (May 13-19)

Performers coming this week to San Diego include Santigold, Willie Nelson & Family, Tyga and Cowboy Junkies.

5.15: Wild Belle

Chicago-bred/L.A.-based indie sibling duo Wild Belle, aka Elliot and Natalie Bergman, released their third full-length studio album, Everybody One of a Kind, in March. The pair has worked with Diplo and their songs have been featured in film and on television.
@ Belly Up,

5.15: Willie Nelson & Family

Man, Willie Nelson sure likes San Diego. And that’s perfect, because San Diego loves some Willie Nelson. The 12-time Grammy Award winner, 9-time CMA Award winner and Kennedy Center Honoree was last here for a sold-out show with 27-time Grammy Award winner Alison Krauss. He returns to the exact same venue for another sold-out show with his family band in tow.

@ Humphreys Concerts by the Bay,

5.15: Santigold

After collaborating with Brooklyn DJ and producer Dre Skull on the 2018 mixtape, I Don’t Want: The Gold Fire Sessions, Philly singer/producer Santigold (aka Santi White) is hitting the road to celebrate a milestone. On her current 10 Years Golder Tour, White will be performing her 2008 self-titled debut in its entirety each night.

@ House of Blues,

5.17: Tyga

After making a recent appearance at Coachella with YG, Compton-born rapper Michael Stevenson (aka Tyga) returns once again to America’s Finest City. Stevenson has been busy this year, appearing on a handful of singles (including a remix of Post Malone’s Wow), as well as releasing one of his own, last month’s Goddamn.

5.18: Mihalis Safras

Greek tech house DJ Mihalis Safras has produced music for over a decade and co-founded the Material Series record label in 2006. Safras has released three singles so far this year – January’s Boom, Pianopop in March and last month’s Microwave with Green Velvet.

@ Bang Bang,

5.18: Cowboy Junkies

Going on their 35th year, this Toronto-born Americana quartet still boasts its original lineup and released its 16th studio album, All That Reckoning, last summer. The 11-song collection was the band’s first album of original material since 2012.

@ Observatory North Park,

5.19: Matador

Irish techno DJ and producer Gavin Lynch, aka Matador, is also the founder of the RUKUS label. In March, he joined forces with Ukrainian DJ/production duo ARTBAT on the two-song single, Apollo 11.

@ Quartyard,
