Dropkick Murphys set joint fall tour with Clutch, including Petco Park show

Two veteran acts, the Celtic-punk group Dropkick Murphys and the hard-rocking Clutch, are teaming up for a joint tour.

The coast-to-coast concert trek opens Sept. 20 at Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, about 99 miles from Dropkick’s Massachusetts hometown of Quincy, and concludes Oct. 15 at Seattle’s WaMu Center.

It will include an Oct. 9 San Diego show at Petco Park’s Park at the Park. All cities and tour dates appear below, along with ticket information.

The Petco Park show is the third to be confirmed at the all-general-admission, 6,000-plus capacity Park at the Park since the March announcement that the San Diego Padres and concert industry giant Live Nation had signed an agreement. That agreement will see them co-present at least eight concerts this season on the park’s new Sycuan Stage.

The two previously announced shows at the Park at the Park venue are LED’s My Life Every Day festival, May 25-26, and a double-header by Coheed & Cambria and Mastodon, June 26.

Tickets for the Dropkick Murphys/Clutch tour go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. local time. An online pre-sale for the San Diego show will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. and conclude at 10 p.m. the same day on ticketmaster.com.

Early bird tickets for the San Diego show are priced at $35, plus service charges. That price will be valid “while supplies last” until 11:59 p.m. om May 3. After that, the price will then go up to $45, plus service charges. Tickets bought on the day of the show here will jump to $55, plus service charges.
