Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat World team for 2019 ‘Summer Gods’ Tour
Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat World and Ra Ra Riot are teaming up for the 35-city “Summer Gods” tour.
It opens June 14 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and concludes Aug. 3 at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine. The third-to-last-date on the tour is an Aug. 1 show at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (the venue formerly known as Mattress Firm Amphitheatre) in Chula Vista.
“The most scintillating, inspiring collective moments of my life have been outdoors in the summer exploding with music,” Third Eye Blind front man Stephan Jenkins said in a Friday morning statement announcing the tour.
“I seek to create that exact blissed-out state of aliveness on this tour this summer.”
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. local time at livenation.com and ticketmaster.com. To try to ensure tickets are sold to fans, not scalpers or bots, the tour will use Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform, for which fans can register online at verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/summergods2019 now through 10 p.m. Monday for the “Verified Fan pre-sale.
Registered fans who receive a code will have access to purchase tickets before the general public, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday local time through 10 p.m. Thursday. An online pre-sale will be held concurrently for Citi card members.
Tickets for the Aug. 1 Chula Vista concert are priced from $20 to $99.50, plus service charges.
