Scallywag! fest sets third San Diego date, will expand to Denver, Austin, Boise, Auburn
After being held for two years in San Diego, the Scallywag! festival will expand to four other states this fall.
The punk-rock, craft beer, wine and food extravaganza — which this year will be headlined by Rancid in some cities and Bad Religion in others — debuted in 2016 at San Diego’s Waterfront Park, where it was also held last October. Its original name, Ye Scallywag!, has now been shortened to simply Scallywag, perhaps to avoid confusion with the title of Kanye West’s eighth studio album, “Ye.”
This year, the festival will conclude with an Oct. 20 date at Waterfront Park. The San Diego stop will be preceded four other dates: Sept. 22 stop at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Denver; Sept. 23 at the Austin360 Amphitheatre in Texas; Sept. 29 at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA; and Sept, 30 at the CenturyLink & Grove Plaza in Boise, Idaho.
The music lineups for each city appear below. The festival is produced by Synergy Global Entertainment Brew Ha Ha Productions. As in previous years, radio station 91X is serving as the event’s official presenter in San Diego.
Tickets for all five Scallywag! tour stops go on sale Friday 10 a.m. at scallywagfest.com.
The festivals in Denver, Boise and Auburn are open to all ages and will have 21-and-up beer gardens. The festivals in San Diego and Austin will be ages 21-and-up from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and then be open to all ages. There will be beer tastings in each city, except Auburn.
San Diego ticket prices range from $45.50 for general admission (both for 21-and-up and all ages tickets) to $129.50 and up for VIP Lounge tickets.
