Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA to host Comic-Con panel, ‘Movies, Music & Martial Arts,’ to promote new film, ‘Cut Throat City’
Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA will appear at the 2018 edition of Comic-Con to promote his third movie as a director, “Cut Throat City.”
RZA (real name: Robert Fitzgerald Diggs) will host the “Movies, Music & Martial Arts” panel at 2:45 p.m. on July 21 in Hall H at the San Diego Convention Center. (Wu-Tang Clan, one of the most acclaimed groups in hip-hop of the past three decades, was named after the 1983 martial arts movie “Shaolin and Wu Tang.”)
“Cut Throat City” is a gangster heist caper set in New Orleans, post-Hurricane Katrina. The cast includes Oscar nominee Terrence Howard, Wesley Snipes, rapper/actor Clifford “T.I.” Harris, Eiza González, Denzel Whitaker, Kat Graham, Rob Morgan, Demetrius Shipp Jr. and Shameik Moore.
It remains to be seen which cast members will join RZA for his Comic-Con panel, but all of them have been invited to appear.
