Romeo Santos, the ‘King of Bachata,’ announces 2018 ‘Golden Tour’
Latin music superstar Romeo Santos has announced the dates for his 2018 Golden Tour.
The tour opens Feb 15 in at New York’s Madison Square Garden and concludes April 6 at Oracle Arena in Oakland,
It includes an April 3 San Diego concert at Viejas Arena, along with tour stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Houston and 10 other cities. All dates and tour stops appear below.
Known as the “King of Bachata” — a guitar-driven Dominican Republic music style that blends Latin, African and Spanish bolero — Santos, 39, rose to fame as a member of the bachata group Aventura.
Since launching his solo career in 2011, he has released four solo albums and had high-profile musical collaborations with Drake, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Pitbull, Lil Wayne and others.
To date, Santos has won 17 Billboard Latin Music Awards and sold more than 100 million singles and 40 million albums. His 2018 tour is in support of his newest album, “Golden,” which came out earlier this year.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Nov. 24 at ticketmaster.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000. Online pre-sales begin Nov. 21.
Tickets for Santos’ San Diego concert are prices from $25.50 to $105.50, plus service charges.
