Michael Bublé set for major tour to promote his new album, ‘Love.’ Here are all the dates.
Michael Bublé is ready sing out for love in a big way — or, rather, for ❤️. That’s the emoji he is using for the name of his new album, which will be released Nov. 16.
The Grammy Award-winning Canadian singer’s tour will open Feb. 13 in Tampa and conclude Aug. 3 in Quebec.
It includes three California dates, starting with a March 31 San Diego show at Valley View Casino Center. That will be followed by an April 2 Los Angeles date at the Staples Center and an April 3 Oakland date at Oracle Arena. All the tour dates and cities are below, along with ticket information.
Every full-priced ticket purchased for the tour will include “a standard CD or digital copy of ❤️”. The album mixes standards from the Great American Songbook with more recent selections. It includes Bublé’s duet with rising jazz singer Cécile McLorin Salvant on the 1946 Édith Piaf classic, “La Vie En Rose.”
Thursday’s tour announcement comes less than a month after an interview with Bublé in an English tabloid, the Daily Mail, in which he appeared to announce he planned to retire from music after his upcoming tour.
“Appeared” is the key word.
The singer and his management company subsequently said Bublé was misquoted.
He sought to set the record straight, albeit lightheartedly, saying: “I’ll keep going until the news of my death comes out, which will probably be fake too. At that point, you’re really famous now. Things are really going well on this record. ‘Bublé is hanging with Elvis’... ‘Bublé and Elvis having fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches together’.”
Tickets for the general public for Bublé’s 2019 tour go on sale at 10 a.m. local time.
A pre-sale for members of his fan club, Bungalow-B, will begin Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.local time.
There will also be an array of VIP packages, available through his website, for each show on the tour. The packages will include “access to your own backstage private lounge, a guided backstage tour, pre-show on-stage photo, signed lyric poster, parking pass, and a pre-show reception.”
Ticket prices for for Bublé’s March 31 San Diego concert will be available online at axs.com and by phone at (888) 929-7849. Prices range from from $69 to $143.50, plus service charges.
