It’s no lie, matey: The second annual Ye Scallywag! craft beer, food, and music festival will be held at San Diego’s Waterfront Park on Oct. 21
The noon to 10 p.m. event will feature at least seven punk-rock bands, including Pennywise, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, The Vandals, Lagwagon, Strung Out, The Adolescents and San Diego’s Western Settings.
Two members of Lagwagon, guitarist Joey Cape and drummer Dave Raun, will be doing double duty. Both are also in the satire-fueled Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, which teams them with members of Foo Fighters, NOFX and the Swingin’ Utters.
Participating breweries will include Fall Brewing, Green Flash, Alpine Brewing, Beachwood Brewing, Bottle Logic, Chapman Crafted, Hangar 24, Booze Brothers, AleSmith, Mikkeller SD, Modern Times, and more to be announced. Altogether, more than 100 craft beers will be available at the 21-and-up event.
Ye Scallywag! debuted at Waterfront Park last October, with a lineup that featured the bands NOFX, Bad Religion, Goldfinger, Against Me!, Reel Big Fish and Wakrat. It drew about 8,000 people, according to a festival representative.
