91X Wrex The Halls 2017 brings big names to San Diego

Share

The folk-rocking Denver-by-way-of-New-York band The Lumineers will headline San Diego radio station 91X-FM’s annual Wrex The Halls holiday concert at Valley View Casino Center.

Other acts confirmed to perform at the Dec. 9 show include Vance Joy, The War on Drugs, Arkells and Dreamcar which teams AFI singer Davey Havok with the three members of No Doubt who are not Gwen Stefani.

This year’s Wrex The Halls will be a streamlined affair, at least compared to last year. The 2016 edition was held on two consecutive days at Valley View Casino Center, with Beck and Band of Horses headlining the first night, and the San Diego-bred bands blink-182 and Pierce The Veil headlining the second night.

Tickets for Wrex The Halls are priced at $45-$70 each, plus service charges. They go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. at the Valley View Casino Center box office, online at axs.com and by phone at: (888) 929-7849.

A pre-sale for 91X listeners will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m., via a “special pre-sale code”: 91X.
