This Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., hundreds of yogis will stretch and center themselves in Waterfront Park for a massive yoga class benefiting underprivileged women and children around the world.
We’ll say “Namaste” to that.
The One Love Movement is leading the outdoor event with yoga instructors Taylor Harkness, MacKenzie Miller, Jaysea Devoe, Kim Bauman, Heather Peterson, Britta Rael and Andrew Sealy. Beyond the mat, the morning yoga class will also feature live music performance by DJ Drez and Marti Nikko. This charity event is sponsored by Sunline Energy.
The One Love Movement has raised and donated an estimated $50,000 to San Diego homeless and under-privileged youth programs and projects in addition to another $25,000 worldwide. All funds raised from this year’s 2015 Charity Yoga Event will benefit a variety of organizations including Outdoor Outreach, San Diego Youth Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters San Diego, Reaching Hand and Shanti Uganda.
Just bring your yoga mat, ticket, water, towel and sunscreen.
