Snoop Dogg gets his SD universities mixed up

The Sun God Festival is an annual event that occurs on RIMAC Field at UC San Diego.

Produced by the Associated Students Concerts & Events office, the festival is free to students and contains multiple stages featuring DJs, indie bands and mainstream artists.

Started in 1983 as an opportunity for students to party after midterm exams, past performers include Kendrick Lamar, Cake, Drake, Jimmy Eat World, and Cypress Hill (among many others).

This past weekend, OK Go, STRFKR and Snoop Dogg performed in front of thousands of students.

Knowing he was playing a college campus, the Doggfather decided to don some local university attire - unfortunately, it was the wrong university.

Instead of repping UCSD, Uncle Snoop took the stage wearing a San Diego State football jersey under an SDSU performance fleece.

Whoops.

Turns out, the clothes were a gift from Aztec player Malik Smith, a graduate of The Snoop Youth Football League - a 501c3 non-profit organization founded to provide the opportunity for inner-city children to participate in youth football.
