Is Shania Twain still the one?

We’ll find out this summer when the Canadian-born country-pop star embarks on her first North American tour in more than 11 years. It follows her two-year resdency performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Entitled Rock This Country, Twain’s 48-city concert trek will begin in Seattle on June 5 and conclude Aug. 23 in Fresno. It includes an Aug. 22 show at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center. Gavin DeGraw will open all of the dates on her tour between June 30 and Aug. 23.

The tour was announced Wednesday morning and billed as, simply, her first North American tour in 11 years. However, Twain later disclosed that this will also be her farewell tour. On “Good Morning America” she told Robin Roberts: “This is my last tour, so I’m going to make the most of it. I want to go out with a bang... This is a very, very important time on the road for me.. I just feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. “

Twain has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide since 1993. She is the only woman artist to have made three consecutive albums that each sold more than 10 million copies alone in the U.S. She also has 17 Top 10 singles to her credit.

“This is a celebration tour,” Twain said in a statement released Wednesday, prior to her announcement that this would be her farewell tour. “It’s party time! (This) will have a different spirit than my past tours... A lot of years have gone by and I’ve got a lot more to share.”

Tickets for most of the Rock This Country tour go on sale March 13 at 10 a.m. at axs.com. A pre-sale for fan club members begins Tuesday at 10 a.m. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available. American Express card holders will also be able to buy tickets ahead of the general on-sale date.

Ticket prices for Twain’s San Diego concert are priced at $46-$136 each, plus service fees.
