Run fast, drink brews at the Craft Beer Relay
Interested in racing like a champion and drinking beer the same way? Combine the two for a fun race unlike any other in San Diego, offering great brews, live music and a fun team-focused event at the annual Craft Beer Relay. The race will take over Bates Nuts Farm on Saturday, April 2.
Grab a team of your four best drinking and running friends and some awesome costumes and get ready to race. The course will require each team to compete together in a 5K, relay-style race through various obstacles and courses.
There will be beer stations along the course that teams can choose to partake in, as well as mandatory course events like a giant beer pong game. There will be over 10 different breweries in attendance and spectators who want to watch the action are welcome to attend the event with a $10 entry fee. This event is 21-and-up only.
Post-race fun will continue with an awards ceremony and brews continuing to flow until 8 p.m. There will also be various food vendors and trucks on-site with delicious eats available for purchase. Prizes will be awarded for best team costume and best team name, so get creative. Each participant will also receive a swag bag with a custom race t-shirt and beer growler.
Registration is $289 per team (or $72.25 per person) and can be completed on craftbeerrelay.com. Check-in is at 9 a.m. and the festival will open to the public at 10 a.m.
