Red Bull DJ battle coming soon
A popular DJ competition is returning to San Diego next month, promising one thing: They battle, you dance.
The Red Bull Thre3Style World DJ Championship is pairing over 60 DJs across the nation against each other in 12 regional qualifiers, all leading up to the 2015 Red Bull Thr3style USA Championships and then on to the World DJ Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
The San Diego regional qualifier is set to take place at FLUXX Nightclub on Friday, Feb. 13 starting at 10 p.m. DJ Virusss (San Diego), DJ Ricky Jay (Simi Valley), DJ Son (Los Angeles), DJ A-KO (Los Angeles), AkikoLuv (South Pasadena) and Dynamix (Los Angeles) will have 15 minutes to drop their beats as a panel of esteemed judges select the winner to advance, based on both technical ability and crowd reaction.
The judging panel includes DJ Jazzy Jeff, Four Color Zack, DJ Hedspin, Skratch Bastid and Z-Trip.
