Moonshine Beach opens with big summer concerts

Moonshine Beach, the Pacific Beach sister to downtown’s Moonshine Flats, has just rolled out their debut summer concert lineup, packed with A-List country stars and Billboard top-charters.

As the only major live music venue in Pacific Beach, this is going to be the spot to dance, drink and get down during the summer months. The concert venue and bar accommodates 1,200 people and features a large dance floor, one massive stage and three bars with classic cocktails and beer.

In addition to the live music, the nightly entertainment includes line-dancing lessons, arcade games and more. The best part? Party people can meander through an adjoining patio and into the neighboring Cerveza Jack’s restaurant for Mexican eats when hunger strikes on the dance floor.

Back to the music. The summer concert lineup includes Jon Pardi on June 30, Russell Dickerson on July 11, winner of “The Voice” Cassadee Pope on Aug. 4, “American Idol” sweetheart Kellie Pickler on Sept. 23 and Granger Smith on Sept. 30.

“Expanding the Moonshine concept into Pacific Beach is an exciting next step for the brand and for Good Time Design. The response from the community, as well as major record labels and national touring artists alike, has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Ty Hauter, owner and operator of Good Time Design, in a press release. “Showcasing rising country acts from Nashville and introducing them to new audiences allows us to cultivate and grow country music in the San Diego market like no venue has done before.”

Moonshine Beach is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a DJ from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and will have live bands every Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Line dancing lessons will be offered nightly. For concert tickets visit,
