Kelly Clarkson announces 2015 tour

Kelly Clarkson will criss-cross North American on her 2015 “Piece by Piece” tour. The North American concert trek begins July 11 in Pennsylvania and concludes Sept. 20 in New Jersey. As part of the tour, the “American Idol” alum-turned-solo-star will perform Aug. 16 at SDSU’s Viejas Arena, with Pentatonix and Eric Hutchinson opening.

Clarkson announced her 36-city tour Tuesday on “Good Morning America.”

Clarkson’s tour is timed to promote “Piece by Piece,”the sixth studio album by the 32-year-old singer. It features several numbers co-written by Sia, a duet with John Legend, “Run Run Run,” and finds Clarkson delving into EDM on “Take You High.”

Tickets for the tour go on sale at livenation.com March 14 in some cities and March 21 in others (the list below indicates which). Pre-sales will be held for Clarkson fan club members and CITI card holders. More information is available on her website.

Tickets for Clarkson’s San Diego show are priced at $29.50 to $99.50 each, plus service charges. They go on sale to the general public March 14 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com.
