Florence and The Machine announce fall tour

Share

It’s been quite a year for Florence + The Machine, which gave a triumphant performance at the Coachella festival in April, despite lead singer Florence Welch breaking her foot when she jumped off the stage. The English group’s new album, “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful,” which came out Tuesday, is about to enter the national Billboard charts at No 1.

To boost momentum for the album, their first to top the charts in the U.S., Welch and her band will hit the road for 11 North American concerts this fall. Their itinerary includes an Oct. 14 show at SDSU’s Viejas Arena and Oct. 16 and 17 performances at the Hollywood Bowl. (The full itinerary appears below; the originally announced Oct. 9 tour-opening date in Nashville was subsequently removed from the tour schedule, without explanation.)

Tickets for the San Diego show are priced at $30.50 to $66 each, plus service charges.

Tickets for all dates will go on sale to the general public on June 12 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com and livenation.com, and by phone: (800) 745-3000.

A pre-sale for American Express Card members will run from 10 a.m. June 9 to 10 p.m. June 11.
