Padres release 2020 spring training schedule
The Padres’ pitchers and catchers will report Feb. 10 with the first full-squad workout scheduled for Feb. 15.
The Padres will open and close Cactus League play in 2020 with exhibitions against the Mariners, their roommates at the Peoria Sports Complex. Highlights of next year’s spring training schedule includes a non-league exhibition against the Chicago Cubs at Sloan Park in Mesa, Ariz., on March 23 ahead of the season opener against the Colorado Rockies on March 26 at Petco Park.
Padres pitchers and catchers will report Feb. 10 with the first full-squad workout scheduled for Feb. 15. The annual charity game against the Mariners on Feb. 22 will kick off Cactus League play.
The Padres will play 17 of their 30 Cactus League games in Peoria, including five on Saturdays and Sundays. The schedule also features 16 games against AL opponents and eight against their NL West rivals (two each). There will be a game (or more) every day except for a pair of Tuesdays, March 10 and 17.
