What’s brewing at Petco Park

Share

If you’re looking to enjoy a good brew (or two) at Petco Park this year, prepare to have your wishes granted. The Padres stadium offers a variety of local craft beers to sip on while you cheer on our team.

Across the stadium, you can find a load of different craft beers to taste from all over the county. Some very big, some a bit smaller, but all local and delicious.

Game-goers can enjoy selections from Alesmith, Stone, Pizza Port, Lightning Brewing, Black Market, Ballast Point, Port Brewing, Coronado, Saint Archer, Mother Earth, Monkey Paw, Fall Brewing, Mike Hess and Benchmark Brewing Company while at Petco Park. Ballast Point Brewing leads the way with over 13 beers on tap and in cans at Petco, including options like their Commodore American Stout, Indra Kunindra and of course, Grapefruit Sculpin.

Alesmith and Pizza Port offer brews specifically named for the Padres; Alesmith with their San Diego Pale Ale .394, named after Tony Gwynn’s batting average and Pizza Port with Petco Park Pale Ale, a beer to be enjoyed while at a Padres game.

CEO and Brewmaster of Alesmith Brewing Co., Peter Zien, said the company is happy to be a part of of the Padres franchise.

“Alesmith is very proud to have been chosen by Tony Gwynn to brew his namesake beer, San Diego Pale Ale .394. We feel a strong duty to the Gwynn family and all of his fans in San Diego to brew .394 to AleSmith’s usual high standards and have it distributed throughout the town that Tony loved,” Zien said “We are working with Petco Park to make San Diego Pale Ale .394 available during Padre games and fans can expect to see this happen in the near future.”

Beyond our incredible, local breweries on-site there is even more beer to be had inside the stadium. Kona Longboard, Sierra Nevada, Knee Deep, Anderson Valley and Pyramid amongst others will be flowing on Opening Day, too.

The craft beer sections of the stadium are located in section 109, section 213 and section 301. These stops feature San Diego craft beers, exclusively. If you’re looking for a specific area featuring a local beer favorite, check out the new Stone Brewery on the upper deck or the Ballast Point Beer Garden on the Toyota Terrace second level. There is also a Hodad’s burger joint, serving Ballast Point beer, Pizza Port stops offering Petco Park Pale Ale at five different stands and The Kona Cove, a Hawaiian-themed area providing Liquid Aloha from Kona Brewing Company.
