Take San Diego out to the Little League World Series

Starting Thursday, Aug. 20 (and running through Sunday, Aug. 23), all eyes will be on San Diego’s Sweetwater Valley Little League team as they compete in the 2015 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn.

Representing the United States West, the South Bay (Bonita) ballers represent one of only eight teams from the United States competing in the annual series.

Even more amazing, Sweetwater Valley is the fifth team from San Diego County to make it to the LLWS in the last 15 years: Oceanside American in 2001, Rancho Buena Vista Little League in 2005, Park View in 2009, Eastlake in 2013 and now Sweetwater Valley.

If you want to support our boys, their first World Series game is set for Thursday evening (4 p.m. PT, ESPN2) against Bowling Green Eastern Little League, representing the Great Lakes Region.
