New cycle studio brings high-energy workout for the soul
There’s a new cycle studio riding into town this week. SoulCycle, which has more than 80 studios across the U.S. and Canada, will open its first San Diego location on March 10 at the Westfield UTC mall.
The 55-bike studio inside a 4,000-square foot space will also include a lifestyle boutique featuring SoulCycle’s performance and atheliesure clothing collections.
The high-intensity cardio workouts help riders burn between 500-700 calories in 45-minutes while also toning their upper bodies using hand weights and core-engaging choreography.
Classes are held in unique candlelit studios built to make riders feel like they’re “partying in a healthy nightclub” to one-of-a-kind playlists.
Celebrities that have been seen riding with SoulCycle include Madonna, Lady Gaga, David and Victoria Beckham and Bradley Cooper.
Classes run $30 with an introductory class for $20, with packages of five 10, 20 and 30 classes also available.
