San Diego to host All Star Game in 2016
More than a dozen years after its opening, Petco Park will FINALLY host the All-Star Game in 2016.
The official announcement from Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig arrived Thursday morning, and San Diegans are pumped.

2016 will mark the third time the Padres have hosted the All-Star Game, following 1978 and 1992 at Mission Valley’s Qualcomm Stadium (then, San Diego Stadium and Jack Murphy Stadium).
