Well, Padres fans. Welcome to the 2016 of baseball here in San Diego. Not to be pessimistic, but damn.

The Opening Day Padres game on Monday, April 4, with a sad 15-0 loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers, had all of us shaking our heads in unison.

Not again! On Tuesday, April 5 it happened again, albeit less horrific, we still scored zero runs.

Some of the reactions around town on Twitter captured the feeling of two losses that kicked off the season.

Let’s try to remain optimistic. I mean, getting “outplayed” as Padres pitcher James Shields called it, does happen. Hopefully they are the ones doing the outplaying some game soon.
