Drink beer, run, repeat at the National Beer Mile

Share

If you’re bored with your standard jog around the track and think you can handle some sudsy fun on a quick, one-mile run, the National Beer Mile is right up your alley. Yep, the annual beer-filled race returns to San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Participants will receive four beers throughout the duration of the race as they trot through Qualcomm Stadium. At each quarter-mile mark, racers will stop to sip, drink or chug a brew and then proceed to run until the mile is complete. Post-race, event-goers can enjoy an epic after party complete with live music, food vendors, bar games and an open beer bar.

Registration is $30 for early bird general admission; 40 for regular general admission; $60 for VIP admission, which includes a National Beer Mile swag bag with a t-shirt, sunglasses, bottle opener and a koozie. Groups of five who register together will be given a special rate of $30 per person.
