Some gyms are pretentious. Some are intimidating and others are just downright dirty. But anyone who has been to Fit knows it's not any of those.
Fit is exactly what you want a gym to be. Clean, hip, great energy, lots of space, incredible classes, personal trainers and healthy eating options. They pride themselves on having a welcoming atmosphere and great social events. This is exactly what the owner, Scott Lutwak, had in mind when he started the first gym in 2004.
The idea for Fit started when Lutwak was living in Russia. Lutwak was inspired by a friend who knew nothing about gyms but started one and became successful. When Lutwak returned home to Houston, he realized that there was a lack of gyms that really fit his needs and the needs of others. That's when Fit was born. The success of his first gym led to three more gyms in California, including the very successful Fit gyms in East Village, Solana Beach and Carmel Mountain Ranch and further expansion. The success of these gyms helped to build his other passion project, Urban Angels, a nonprofit that helps to nourish and feed the homeless of San Diego.
