Bliss Out Camp Out is ‘camp for the modern woman’

Camping is the quintessential summer experience. The smell of sunscreen slathered on the body, the sounds of bugs buzzing around and the feeling of the sun’s warmth could make one relish the times spent outdoors with family, friends or at summer camps.

For those that miss those summer camp feels, Bliss Out Camp Out has created an outdoor experience for the modern woman.

From May 5-6, Bliss Out Camp Out will host an intimate 30-person camp retreat in the mountains of San Diego County. In the spirit of enjoying nature, guests are encouraged to completely turn off their phones for a digital detox. Texts, emails and social media can wait — the program wants to connect guests to the nature surrounding them and the activities planned.

Some of the weekend’s workshops and activities include Krav Maga training, wilderness skill classes, massages, DIY clean beauty, yoga and more. Dawn Barry, president and co-founder of Luna DNA and former vice president of Illumina, will be the keynote speaker, presenting (camp)fireside along with live music, drinks and s’mores, of course.

Guests can stay either in a shared bunk cabin or reserve their own private cabin. Tickets to the camp include overnight accommodations, meals, activities, workshops and a welcome tote bag with goodies. The actual location of the camp will be announced at a later date.
