Gwyneth Paltrow’s Blo Blow Dry Bar opens in SD

Super celeb Gwyneth Paltrow has gifted downtown San Diego with her blowout salon concept, now open for full beauty service.

Blo Blow Dry Bar Gaslamp, located at 435 Island Ave., is the first blow bar backed by celebrity beauty queen Gwyneth Paltrow and hairstylist to the stars, David Babaii.

Blo started in 2007 and now has over 45 locations internationally, providing gorgeous styles sans the cut and color. Touted as “America’s original blow dry bar,” Blo practically created the blow dry bar business category that savvy-women know and abide by religiously today. Thanks, Gwyneth!

Guests can choose from seven signature styles including “red carpet” waves, “executive sweet” straight locks, “holly would” fabulous curls, the “hunt club” perfect pony, a “high society” bun, “go fish” side braid or “pillow talk” tousled beach waves.

Blowouts are priced at $40, and guests can add other services like extensions, deep conditioning, up dos and head massage for more. The chic salon also offers makeup application, facial waxing, manicures and pedicures.
