Battle of the Salons takes over San Diego

There’s been some fabulous hair turning heads throughout San Diego, and it’s about to get bigger and better.

The Battle of the Salons San Diego series has been taking place every Saturday since Jan. 17.

20 salons throughout the county have been presenting avant garde-style hair, paired with over-the-top makeup and wardrobes and competing against each other to win “Best San Diego Salon.”

The grand finale is set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 7 at AD Nightclub, where only one salon will win the coveted title along with $1,000. Besides a hair-inspiring show, guests can play among fire dancers and fire breathers in the heaven-and-hell themed space.

The final five salons are Studio 158, Marinello School of Beauty, Glam Dolls Makeup, Twig Hair Lounge and Salon Paradigm.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the fashion show runs from 8 to 10 p.m. for the 21-and-up only. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $25 for VIP booth seating. Purchase yours here.
