Chocolate festival back in Escondido
Escondido is putting on its annual “For The Love of Chocolate” festival on Feb. 10, a few days before Valentine’s Day.
The event, also known as “A Tasting Affair,” features chocolates paired with local wines and craft beers along with entertainment in downtown Escondido.
More than 20 area restaurants, shops and spas are set to participate. Highlights range from horse-drawn carriage rides down historic Grand Avenue to free dance lessons and the Escondido Arts and Culture Experiences held on the second Saturday of the month.

A free history walking tour starts at 10 a.m. at Broadway and Grand Avenue.
The festival, presented by the Escondido Downtown Business Association, is from 1 to 5 p.m.
Passport tickets cost $35 by Feb. 9 and $45 day of event. Designated Driver tickets are $25 by Feb. 9 and $35 on Feb. 10.
