San Diego Tet Festival returns to Mira Mesa
More than 20,000 people are expected to attend the San Diego Tet Festival, heralded as one of the largest three-day community festivals in the region. The annual event not only celebrates the Year of the Dog, it also marks the beginning of spring and a fresh start to the new year. There will be a number of attractions, including two stages of nonstop entertainment, food vendors, carnival rides and a new cultural village. Cheer on your favorite contestant at the Miss Vietnam of San Diego Pageant on Saturday, or be a part of a traditional wedding ceremony on Sunday. “Lucky Red Envelope” giveaways take place during opening ceremonies.
San Diego Tết Festival: 5 to 10 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Mira Mesa Community Park, 8575 New Salem St., Mira Mesa. Free. sdtet.com
