Cesar Chavez Park will morph into a carnival site with circus performances, carnival games and refreshments during this art event organized by the Port of San Diego. The Fern Street Circus will offer artistic performances as the professional performing troupe presents aerialists, musicians, jugglers, acrobatics and other art forms. Shuttle service is available from 1936 Newton Ave., San Diego (east of Northgate Gonzalez Market).

Carnival in the Park: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Cesar Chavez Park, 1449 Cesar E. Chavez Parkway, San Diego. Free.
