Monte Carlo goes Bollywood at MCASD
Following a stimulating season of exhibits and cultural events, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is letting loose for the 40th annual end-of-summer gala. Monte Carlo is a celebration of the San Diego arts community and a fundraiser for MCASD exhibitions and educational programs.
Of course, no museum soiree is complete without an intriguing theme. This year, Monte Carlo is going Bollywood in a big way on Saturday, September 10.
Monte Carlo is an evening affair that will attract social and philanthropic circles to experience sophisticated entertainment for a cause. The museum will transform into a complete cultural immersion, setting the stage for dressed up guests to arrive in style and sip Indian-themed cocktails while tasting tray-passed hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m.
An elegant dinner party will follow, taking place in the open-air dining room that overlooks the coast at sunset. The multi-course meal is sure to impress with dishes inspired by Mumbai, New Delhi, and beyond by Chef Giuseppe Ciuffa.
The after party, dubbed the Bollywood Bash, will shake things up for the remainder of the night as the sights, sounds and colors of India come alive throughout the museum until 1 a.m. Tickets to the after party can be purchased separately for $100 each and include a hosted bar and bites.
