Learn Craftsman history while touring homes in Mission Hills

Share

The theme of the Sept. 23 historic home tour sponsored by Mission Hills Heritage is “Craftsman, Then & Now.” Eight homes in Mission Hills will be open for the tour, including several that have been maintained as they were originally constructed, one that’s new and several more that have been remodeled or restored. Four of the homes on this year’s tour have been designated as historical.

Docents will share the history and distinguishing characteristics of Craftsman architecture and interior details of each home.

Tour hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. Tickets are $30 in advance ($25 for MHH members) or $35 on the day of the tour ($30 for MHH members). Tourgoers can pick up souvenir booklets and ticket wristbands at Pioneer Park, located at 1521 Washington Place. Complimentary refreshments will be served throughout the day at one of the homes.
