A massive Taco Fest is coming to San Diego

Share

It’s no secret that tourists flock to San Diego just for our tacos. We even have a dedicated day of the week to inhale them.

The San Diego Taco Fest at Waterfront Park is returning on May 20, and tickets are already on sale now. The fest features 30 of the region’s best taco-centric restaurants serving out some tasty creations. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (yes, that’s a really long time to eat tacos), San Diegans will have the chance to taste all their favorite tacos side-by-side in one stop.

The day will also include live music performances from the one-and-only Vanilla Ice. Yes, that Vanilla Ice. Mix Master Mike, Vokab Kompany, Sweet & Tender Hooligans (Morrissey and The Smiths tribute), Fayuca and Jarabe Mexicano will round out the day’s live concerts.

In between the grub and the grooves, make your way to the south end of the festival to catch live Lucha Libre wrestling matches from Tijuana’s own Baja Stars. Oh, and one last thing. San Diego’s fastest Chihuahuas will be strutting their stuff with a beauty pageant and a Chihuahua Race.

This fest is 21-and-up only. Early bird tickets are on sale now for $25. Find more information and a full schedule at sdtacofest.com.
